On the Visit of Ambassador-at-large, Head of the Secretariat of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum H.E. Mr.Oleg Ozerov to RSA
On 27 April – 1 May 2021, Ambassador-at-large, Head of the Secretariat of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum H.E. Mr. Oleg Ozerov paid a visit to RSA as part of the working trip to a number of countries of the African continent.
During the visit, H.E. Mr. Oleg Ozerov was received by Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa H.E. Mr.Alvin Botes, held negotiations with Presidential Special Investment Envoy Mr. Derek Hanekom, leadership of the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the South African United Business Confederation.
A wide range of issues was discussed at the meetings, mainly within the context of the organization of the second Russia-Africa Summit scheduled to be convened in an African country in 2022.
The Russian side suggested that a consideration should be given to the opportunities of establishing business contacts with the support of the Association of Economic Cooperation with African States (AECAS) pursuant to the first Russia-Africa Summit of 2019 – a key structure for the development of Russian-African economic ties.
