Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University) and joined diplomatic service in 1982.

      • 1988-1995 - Embassy of the USSR/Russia in Australia;
      • 1999 – 2001 – Head of OSCE Division, European Cooperation Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation;
      • 2001 – 2003 – Senior Counsellor, Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the European Communities in Brussels, Belgium;
      • 2003-2006 - Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the European Union in Brussels, Belgium;
      • 2006 – 2008 – Deputy Director of the First Department of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation;
      • 2008 – 2011- Director of the First Department of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation;
      • Since 2011 – Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of South Africa.
      • Diplomatic Rank: First Class Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
      • Languages: English, French and Hindi.
      • Marital status: married, with two daughters.
